I managed to forget to show this sneak peak...

My favorite cat print next to one of my oldest prints (p.s. I love you) & a civil war reproduction print (the green cat)

This one...

Interactive Quilting

With the caveat that there are going to be a lot more blocks that what is shown & that the corners are off limits, which border webs would you finish?

(I am only going to finish 3 webs, I want it to be asymmetrical, but I am not sure if they should be clustered on 1 side, in one corner, 1 on the bottom - 2 on a side, 1 one each of 3 sides...)

I posted this yesterday, because it is so cute that he knows my favorite thing to do is quitl & that I am good at "sowing." We'll see if any of our plants bear fruit - ahem, he meant sewing...

But I rotated it, so the flickr photo turned into a box of many languages, so here it is again with an explanation this time. :o)

He is almost 4.5.

Did I tell you that we saw these guys on Mother's day?

Father's day promises to be just as exciting - it is the last day of a sewing retreat for me. :o)

At the National Gallery of Art East Wing, Washington DC

While he apparently was not interested in getting his picture taken (we made a wrong turn out of the subway - so he ha a long walk before this moment was captured) he did behave amazingly well at the museum.

So....

I really love this quilting, but I HATE what happened to flickr.

Big Star

I was going to enter this into the Online quilt festival, but when I was ready to do the post, I couldn't figure out the link button & then time elapsed...

I'm not completely sorry, I wasn't interested in winning a prize... (I need to finish what I have already started, use the books, patterns, & fabric I already own...)

But this was going to be entered in the professionally quilted category... My Long-Armer did a great job!

It has been almost forever since I printed photos, so I decided to edit some... This is my favorite.

Currently my son's favorite colors are pink & purple, so he loves wisteria! He saw it while we drove to the Maryland Sheep & Wool festival last weekend, but we never got anywhere close so that he could get a good look.

On Mother's Day, we went to the Cactoctin Mountain Zoo & this was overhanging their entrance.

sleep number

I am assuming that you have heard the sleep number commercial on the radio (or perhaps seen one on TV).

The other day, Jacob said, "My sleep number is seven thirty."

His bedtime is 7:30 - not that he actually falls asleep at 7:30. I often hear him reading or singing...

Strings - small strips

What do you do with strings or small strips? To say I over cut for my blue/green/aqua spider web quilt would be an understatement. (I do plan on doing a super scrappy spider web in the not to distant future.) At this point for the super scrappy spider web, it would be half blue/green/aqua - not the look that I have in my mind, so I am soliciting other ideas for how to use them.

Now it's your turn. Go ahead, tell me how you would use a very nicely sized pile of 5 x 1.5 to 2 inch strips.

Yes, this does mean that I finished piecing my spider web triangles today.
