I love to look at scenic (pictoral) quilts like this one! (There are a couple close-ups on my flickr.)

Do you like pictoral quilts?

Can any gardeners relate?

My father always had a garden. I don't think that her grew zucchini, but he did grow cucumbers & I recall a lot of cucumber/onion.tomato salads & refrigerator pickles.

This was at the quilt show, but on the way to the show, we stopped at cracker barrel for lunch & I had a cucumber/onion/tomato salad. :o)

Quilt at Mid-Atlantic QS

Here is the whole quilt.

Quilt at Mid-Atlantic QS

While it is not an overtly Purim quilt, the part reminded me of Mordechai & Esther & since it is Purim...

Happy Purim!

Cute story from the perspective of a 4 year old reader.

So my family is seated at a table at Ruby Tuesday, my son's favorite restaurant. They have these advertising table topers, appetizer, desires, adult beverage... My son, the 4 year old, is reading one of those ads and asks, "What is the taste of winter?" His mother & father pretty much move onto, "Please eat your dinner." Time passes and then we get our first snowfall of the season. Mother & son are walking along when son eats snow. Mother says, "Don't eat snow." Without skipping a beat, son replies, "But it is the Taste of Winter."

& I thought that only Coors tasted like pee.
