I can no longer read my pattern (On A Whim by Thbleblossoms) my helper is sitting on it., a photo by aviva_hadas (Amy) on Flickr.
That about covers it...
Hey, using a pattern that I own, now there is a novel idea!
Florence is a fabric line that is pretty much evenly distributed between cools & warms. (Not that I think that makes a difference between these patterns.)
But, if you have a different idea for a fabric collection that is pretty much divided between warm & cool, I'm all ears.
BUT I just finished putting on hanging sleeves so I am going to enter my county fair!
Background: I went to a quilt show yesterday & purchased a really cool tool that helps get your seams really flat & that gave me a 25% coupon at the store.
We went to the fair today, which put us 1/2 way if not closer to the store, which happened to be open this Sunday. So I decided to see what they might have.
Not a whole lot that spoke to me in general. (They had the green version, but I would have liked to orange, or I did not care for it at all kind of scenario.)
But they did have some solids (mixed in - which was not my preferred way to shop for them) & after looking at these Briar Rose fat quarters with an orange, a yellow, & a blue, I chose this green. It is by Timeless Treasures, I did not catch the name, but it is grassy & it was 25% off.
For what it is worth, I liked them with the Periwinkle, but in the photo that was not "true."
Now to cut more squares that I care to think about. (The pattern is linked in the post with the Kona Banana as the background.)
While planning a new quilt, I decided to try to make some headway on a UFO.
This is the very pink scrap vomit - but not too pink, right?
Some of my "pink" scraps are very minimal in their pinkness & many of them would never have been considered pink in their own right, but I wanted that subtlety & nuance evidenced in this very pink quilt.
There are pinks in my others too - so it is not like all of the pinks landed here.
After I finish with the pink, I will do the green. That one is all novelties. :o)
The final 3, red, orange, & yellow are a mix of everything pink, novelty & others.
