I should work on my Baltimore Album Quilt.

I have culled it down to 5 blocks (on point). So I really only need to square them up & cut the setting triangles. (I also need to decide if I will add a border. I won't be doing any more appliqué - I want fancy quilting in the setting triangles...)

This is our latest. There are fasteners on the back so the arrangement can change or they can be hung one at a time...

I've been through Delaware several times either on the train or in the car (back when we drove to NY), but I am not sure that we have ever stopped.

My grandparent lived in Maryland my whole life so when we visited we may have gone to Delaware.

West Virginia

On my way to Skyline Drive we usually go trough West Virginia. Traffic wise it is generally easier to go up, over, & down... I've also been to Harper's Ferry.

I'm a baster. Are you?

The pan drippings (We are not gravy people.) and a good portion of those bones are already simmering to make stock.

(I serve plates of food, so the bird does not have to be carved at the table.)

Since it is only the three of us this year, the breasts are already in the fridge waiting to become sandwiches!

In addition to the turkey, we have homemade cranberry sauce, homemade stuffing, butternut squash, brussels sprouts, mixed sweet, white, & purple potatoes & a baby pumpkin pie. (If you buy the baby instead of the grandma pie then you don't fell obligated to eat it all.)

Jacob is reading as I type - he just asked, "Do we have a purple pumpkin pie?"

Happy Thanksgiving to those of you in the US.

I hope that everyone has something to be thankful for even if you are not celebrating the holiday.

In my local quilt shop, they have quilts up be Susan Grancio (she sells the pattern) so that they can advertise & sell the patterns. (She includes a couple of the harder to acquire novelty charms - like the US Capital Building.)
