This is a "close-up" of one of the 4 (of 7) glaciers that we saw in Glacier Bay.

Sawyer Glacier

This is what made my Tracy Arm excursion worth every penny. Many boats do not get this close - we are as close as we can get legally .25 miles - because of icebergs. Like you saw in front of the South Sawyer Glacier a couple days ago.

With that said, if you were planning an Alaskan cruise, I would not choose a cruise where this is your only glacier viewing experience, because many ships/boats do not get close enough to see the glacier.

We went to the zoo on Saturday. This momma & baby had everyone enchanted. That poor baby could not catch a break with the mango! But it was cut watching him/her try.

Part of it reminded me of Rhapsody & RB - Rhapsody used her paw to push RB away from the food bowl, this momma pushed her baby away.

That lake is Tagish Lake, it is right on the British Columbia/Yukon Territory line - Hwy 2 in Canada.

Totally played the tourist here - bought canned salmon, jerkeyed salmon, local lip balm & body butter, & birch honey - wonder how that will taste in a honey cake?

Walked around a bit...

(This was our last stop & quite dramatic with false alarm searches for a potty, etc.)

At lunch after tourist act, the daquiri really hit the spot.

Very happy with how this one turned out.

Don't know if I mentioned it here or not, but the lost 3 years of orange polka dot fabric has been found! YAY!

I am doing a ruthless purge of fabric. I just feel so gluttonous. So many WIPs, UFOs, Piles of planned quilts, finished objects - I don't "need" a lot of fabric too.
I actually feel liberated getting rid of some cat prints that I know I only held onto because I had each of the 4 color ways. In case I needed another cat charm quilt? I doubt it.

I'm off to the Quilter's Unlimited of Northern Virginia's quilt show today. YIPPEE!
