Tiny
I think the smallest of these HST's are bigger than the ones I am trimming off my own waste triangles! They don't have the measurements (as you can see by the placard) but based on my estimation, I would guess that the sides are smaller than 9 inches!

new book
very inspiring - give it a flip through even if you don't consider yourself to be a Modern Quilter - or are not interested in Modern Quilting.

With a little help from my friend
Yes, those are waste triangles! I know I "never" keep/use waste triangles, but these are so precious...
Unfortunately, when I sewed the second seam I was not quite 1/2 an inch away from the first... I think it will work out anyway. I am definately giving it enough effort to make it work out! I am taking the triangles that RB is sittingon & trimming the corners & sides with a tiny template (Marti Michell). Boring work, but...

The top I hope to finish next.
I made an appointment to drop this off for quilting at the begining of May! (I've done quite a bit more sewing since this photo was taken.)

What I've been working on.
The pattern is in the book Transparency Quilts by Ringle & Kerr.
Mine is a bit different - I used squares that I had on hand so they are bigger & where the authors used long skinny strips, I sub-cut them, figuring I could handle shorter pieces better.
All of the fabrics are Japanese Taupes.
I pieced a back that used some of these lights & other lights that I a bit darker than these. The binding will be light.
I'm send it off to be long-armed shortly - with organic straight horizontal lines.

Look who's nesting!
Jacob is so enthralled with animals. This pair was not too happy with him...
When do you think we will have chicks?
