The Orangatuns "walk" from the Primate House to the Think Tank & back on this high wire. This guy put on a pretty good show with his swinging. We picnic in an area that is just about under the wires. When they are not on the move, of course - I am not ready to explain the potty mess that could happen & I am pretty sure that with everyone craning their heads upwards that we could be stomped on as well.
At the National Zoo, they are creating a new elephant exhibit. The out doors part is a log down hill yard. When we arrived at the viewing area, we could not see an elephant at all. This one walked all the way down to see Jacob.
We went to the zoo yesterday. It was hot, but we had a good time. Only a little burned - the stubborn one refused to wear his hat & the forgetful one forgot hers.
We brought a picnic - so the trip cost us a little in subway fare & 2 waters. Not bad for several hours of fun.
I am glad that I cannibalized my Hungry Caterpillar panel to get "enough" polka dots. I think I would have made a design error if I had mixed in the sorta solids. (They may go on the back with the Hungry Caterpillar bits.)

I am working through my UFO's. This one made its way to the top. Which is funny because this is the back! :o) The irony, I know...
On to the questions:
1. Would you move the Z is for Zero square to the other side so that it is below the U is for Uniforms? (If you read the other blocks, you will see E is for Egyptian, the F is for fish, etc. I am wondering if mimicing this would "look better?")
2. Would you redo the last row & make it look like the sashing & cornerstone on the front?
3. Would you add another gray column to one side? (No it is not big enough, so I need to do "something.")
We just searched for any remaining Chametz in our home! This activity in Hebrew is called: bedikat chametz which is literally translated to mean search for chametz.
Chametz being the 5 grains that are prohibited from consumption during Passover.

We had a lovely day yesterday & for a change, we took advantage of it!
Today it is rainy, but we managed to look at the birdies, fishies, kitties, doggies, & guinea piggies at PetSmart & run some other errands.
Bim Bam is a nigun (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigun) while shabbat shalom means Sabbath Peace.
I would not have thought that we sing it enough for him to have learned it, alas...
All of a sudden... I have a hard time expressing how I feel about his language/concept acquisition!
This has nothing to do with the video... But for that quilt that I am working on, if you could use all polka dots, would you?
One day he will eat them, the next day not so much - I guess that is all part of toddlerhood.
