Rosh Hashanah begins at sundown, I tried a new apple cake recipe. (One of my old tried & true apple cakes is in the oven. You can never have too much desert.)
Also on the menu, round raisin challah, apples dipped in honey, roasted root vegetables, tsimmes (a vegetable casserole), and brisket. I keep thinking that I will try a new brisket recipe, but I never do...

I daren't try a new brisket recipe although I would love to - the troops would revolt if I deviated from tradition. I saw a recipe that looked good using pomegranate syrup as a marinade. Maybe in my next life. Shana tova umetukah!
*mmmm* apple cake. I have some apples and a nice recipe . . . . maybe I just figured out how to spend my afternoon *s*
Happy Holiday!
sounds good amy and looks even better...happy holiday!
Happy holiday to you, too! We're having your brisket for dinner tonight also -- always a favorite here!
Jeanne :)
Sweet New Year to you!
BElated happy new year. I thought about you and your apple cakes. They look delicious.
Your apple cake looks yummy! I made applesauce today. All my apples are gone, so no apple cake for me! Darn. Happy New Year.
Holiday greetings for you and yours. The foods look delicious!
