I don't cook! Luckily my dad and some friends throw an awesome Thanksgiving bash.
Reservations! Taking our widowed neighbor out to a Thanksgiving buffet at a local restaurant.
I'm making out like a bandit at my friends house!
A turkey and a ham, lima beans, corn, green beans, glazed carrots, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, cranberry sauce, and butter horn rolls. For dessert a pecan pie and a coconut cake. My sons and their families are coming for dinner so I need lots of food!
Turkey AND ham, stuffing, popovers, sweet potato casserole, cranberry mousse, apple & pumpkin pie (and maybe one or two additional items yet to be decided).
RESERVATIONS! we're going to Las Vegas, yay. But if we were home, our menu would look exactly like yours except for the chocolate cupcakes.
We already celebrated Thanksgiving. We went to our club for dinner. It was nice. I didn't have to cook! Your menu sounds great!
You are making me so hungry! Tonight it's pinto beans and cornbread (I'm a southern girl), and Thanksgiving will be the same thing I've made for 30 years - turkey, dressing, gravy, cranberry sauce, sweet potatoes, mashed potatoes (have to have them with the gravy), green beans and homemade crescent rolls. I might throw in glazed carrots too. And pumpkin and pecan pies for dessert. I'm scheduling a nervous breakdown for the Friday after - no, wait, Quiltville's mystery starts that day!
Our menu will be strikingly similar - probably only one veggie (it's just the two of us afterall *s)
I can't believe a year has already gone by. I hope we'll get to see a picture of somebody diving into his chocolate cupcake.
Three of us this year for Thanksgiving dinner - turkey, stuffing, sweet potatoes and cranberry sauce followed by carrot cake for dessert.
A whole year already?!?!?!?
Thanksgiving is always BIG at my house with around 20 for lunch. Everyone chips in so we have a feast with lots of leftovers. This year will be bittersweet as it will be the first without my brother who died in February, but also the first for my two new grandchildren - one born in February and one to be born this week. Our meal is Turkey, Dressing, sweet potato casserole, green beans, brocolli casserole, mashed potatoes, sweet potato biscuits, andgel biscuits, pumpkin pies and chocolate pound cake.
Thanksgiving is really big at our house and we invite lots of American ex-pats to join in the fun. My kids insist on the same menu every year: turky with stuffing, cranberry sauce, sweet potato pudding with marshmellows, mashed white potatoes, green bean casserole with mushrooms, candied carrots, corn bread, biscuits and for dessert, pumpkin pie, apple pie, and blueberry pie. I cook for two days!
making a parve flourless cake for the smoosh!
i'm going to my BIL's house. and he's a mighty fine cook. :) i'm trying to plan ahead so i have a few quilts to bind while i am there sitting on my bum watching my kids watch movies and my inlaws drink bottomless cups of coffee. :)
