So My MIL came down & brought with her this monstrosity! The cats are the only ones who liked it. I did not even get a snap of Jacob in it... shortly after this photo was taken it was pladed under a table. Yesterday while running errands, I donate this sofa to the Salvation Army - someone might want it... Definately not me.

What a great shot of the two cats together on that!
Maybe not your style but could you have shipcovered it with patchwork? I imagine a small child would like a chair in his proportions. I would have kept it for the whimsy of a cat bed shaped like a couch (but definitely recovered it).

Ah the joys of MILs. Mine just bought us a bookcase that literally had 2 inch wide shelves that were on a slope. I kept it for 2 days and then let her see the pile of books on the floor where the kidlet's books kept falling and gave it back :)
How freakin' funny! Will MIL find out about this. OMG there is something so perfectly perfect about this gift and the donation. Girl, I'm crackin' up.
