You've got to love technology! I am in the Denver Airport blogging (from flickr). We saw this quilt at an Interprative Center in Washington State after our drive to see the Columbia River Gorge & its falls. I figure a Spanish Galleon was pretty high tech in it's day... The gal who embroidered the block definitely knew what she was doing, the stitches were so tiny!

I also think you're insight here is a window into how that brain of yours works. Scary, I know, but I think I can take it.
Very insightful of you to note - I'll bet that SG was pretty high tech in its day. Personally, I would have missed that nice thought if you wouldn't have pointed it out.
This has obviously been a great trip! I'm jealous; it's my favorite part of the country.
