It will probably be for my son - or it might be a donation quilt for a boy, so blue seemed "right." (& it was 30% off...)
Thanks for all of the advice, I knew I could count on you guys!
Now to work on cutting the sashing strips - I am not thrilled with that idea...
Then I will blow the dust off of another oldie, so that I can then work on a "Brown Bear, Brown Bear, What do you see?" quilt!

It looks great! I can't believe you ever have time to sew.
I like the light blue. That is a color I would have tried along with red and maybe yellow. Black could have been good too. As well as..... the list goes on!
Great minds think alike. Last week I sashed all my 9 patches together with a light blue mottledy type fabric and I think it works well. I hope to finish borders this weekend and will post pictures. Your quilt is looking great. I am enjoying watching Josephs progress too - he's growing so fast xx
