Reading with Mommy

Reading with Mommy

If you want to keep your long hair . . . . consider a pony tail. Who has time for blow drying and styling a new 'do then there's a baby to cuddle *s*

ha, ha,ha! I had hair to my waist when my first was born--even a pony tail didn't help! You either just put up with it or do the cut thing! You're right "and they look so sweet"!

Mine went from mid-back to shoulder length after the birth of each kiddo. I just didn't have time to keep it up and be the kind of mom I wanted to be.

It always grows back ...

I want to read to him! I read to both of my kids from when they were a few days old and they loved it. I'm going to go away now and get all of those books down from the attic for a nostalgia fest!

Oh I should have warned you about that. Yes they innocently slip those little fingers around to the back of your neck and get them tangled in the hair back there then pull like the dickens to get away. Ouch it seems like yesterday and my son is now 15!

hehe...I had long hair when my first was born. Within about two weeks I was at the hairdresser demanding a chin-length cut! So much easier than having it constantly pulled by the baby!

It's so good to see your sweet little guy. He was exactly the same size as my 1st born son, who is now a daddy himself! What a lovely Holiday gift!

Reading to them now is a good thing. I have a picture of my husband reading American Rifleman to our oldest when she was about three months old. It doesn't matter what you read, as long as you read!!!!

I'm assuming that you have already or will soon give up earrings. It was the first thing my nephew's little chubby hands went for.

What a sweet photo! Let's see - I put my hair back in a braid, stopped wearing dangling earings and... first thing I got rid of was the lipstick because I just loved kissing my wee one's little bald head so much! Ah yes, the price of being a Momma!
Cheers!
