I just had an appointment with a lactation consultant, our "issue" has been diagnosed & hopefully solved. The difference with her here & us going it on our own was like night & day!
She is coming back tomorrow to be a baby nurse before & after the Brit Milah otherwise know as a "Bris" (The Covenant of Circumcision) that has its basis in Genesis chapter 17, not modernity. Hence the Wednesday date. (A Sunday date would have allowed so many more people to attend, but...)

I have never seen cookies like that!! They look too cute to eat!
Congratulations on your son. In your post before this one you said you're not sure when you'll have time to do things, and I hate to clue you in, but it's going to be a long time before that happens. Maybe years! But is will be the happiest years of your life.
Congratulation Mama Calico! What a beautiful baby boy you two have *VBS* He's gorgeous!!!! Looks like maybe you had a C-section, it sure does complicate the walking and picking up baby.
Take good care of you Amy, the rest will fall into place gradually. Sending massive hugs and many good wishes, Finn
Yes, those cookie bouquets are the best. My daughter got some when she was in the hospital. Forget the flowers, they wouldn't let her have them in the hospital anyway-score!
For us non-Jewish, could you please explain more about the Bris? Please know that all your bloggin' buddies will be there with your family "in spirit" on Sunday. :)
Love the cookie bouquet, just what you need to keep your strength up.
Hope the bris goes well.

Hoping all went well and just so you know, I'm a cookie monster and those look perfect!
Yummy cookies! I am so happy for you and your new son, enjoy him! They grow way too fast.
I'll take cookies over flowers any day! That bouquet looks great. Don't think I have ever seen one of those before!
(Just finally getting myself unburied fron the Thanksgiving visit ...)
How's it going? Have you all settled into a routine yet? Are you feeling better? Is Jacob eating well?
Ha -- I know you're probably a little *busy* (like for the next decade or so!) Write when you have a minute and you're not falling asleep. We're all thinking about you and your sweet family.
Hugs ~ Jeanne
