David Tennant announces 'Doctor Who' departure
& I was just giddy last night to hear that the new season will start airing on BBC America next month...
I can do so much quilting during Dr. Who... It is entertaining enough to have on in the background, but not engrosing enough that I have to "watch" it all...
Oh well, there have been 10 Dr. Who's since the show started in the 60's... (But this is the only one that I have watched...)
Anyone else have a similar relationship with a TV show?

I hand quilt to Oprah... thanks to Tivo, I can watch it after my daughter goes to bed... So far my Gee's bend inspired quilt is up to 9 Oprahs... I'm hoping about 3-4 more and I'll be done with it...
;-)
I hand quilt while watching almost everything. Some action shows where there are doing things and not talking I have to watch.
I love to hand stitch and hand quilt to just about any British mystery we can find. But when it comes to binding a large quilt -- well, then it's Pride & Prejudice or Sense & Sensibility.
Noooooo! I love him as Dr Who!
Great question! Law and Order. I can do anything with that show on. I love a good L & W marathon.
As a general rule though, we like Classic Movies. They're all good 24/7.
It has to be something like L&O or NCIS marathon. My son is a big fan of Dr. Who. I told him about the old Dr. Who and now he's a big fan of the old ones as well. He has downloaded all the episodes now-I should try to watch it when I can.
Yes....OOOOOOEEEEEOOOOOOEEEEEEOOOOOO....
WHIRWHIRWHIR....Love the doctor! EXTERMiNATE
==EXTERMINATE!
We've been watching it for years. The Stargate is our fix for the last few. We don't get BBC America. I usually work on my hand sewing while we watch Kramer-you know financial wild man, because my husband likes to watch that as well-makes him happy when I do that.
This news about Dr. Who has caused much distress in our house too. It will be so sad. Such a great show with him in that role.
