I have decided what pattern to use for the quilt for my baby!
Hopefully I can find the book...
I think the author called it Licorice - she used red & black on white. I will probably go bright scrappy on white. - Baby & white, probably won't stay white for long, but...
I like it because it is graphic (looks like a quilt) but the pieces are not small - minky-ish backing so this will be "big stitched."
So happy to have that decision made!

It sounds very cute. I think the most important thing about a quilt for your baby is that you like it. Sounds selfish, but the baby won't care, and as you say, it should get used and worn out and loved! As you can tell, I don't have much use for heirlooms. Grew up with too many. :)

I want to see Calico Cat's version of a baby quilt! Hurry up and sew (when you aren't feeling tired of course.)
