skin sheild

skin sheild to repair my hole... I am about to try it out on my english paper piecing - not that I pricked my under finger doing that before - I will on purpose this time to see if my fix works.

I used this stuff in the past when I was a hiker - to help prevent and to help treat blisters.

It smells suspiciously like nail polish & it goes on like nail polish, too. It has hardened& fells like it should work... I'll let you know if it is a bust...

My fingers get like that too. I just use a touch of good old super glue. I've read that it's safe to use on skin.

Hope it works.

I've tried things like that, but find myself feeling for the needle with an unshielded finger, because I go by feel to know when to turn, so a different finger gets sore. I guess that's another reason I do most of my quilting by machine.
Good luck Amy!

Hey Amy I just realized you're in Md. I'll be going there (to Fredrick)next month for the birth of my grand daughter.

Do report in on whether it works. My index finger is a mess from hand applique. It's not that I purposely prick it, it just gets that way from the needle. Have a great day!
