"My" back 40. (I live in a condominium that backs up to a wooded area, so "my" may be a bit to literal...)
A tree in the neighborhood.Does anyone know why some are white & others are pink? What about why some are very light pink & others are dark?

Beautiful. I love dogwoods, also. It is good that you have a 'back 40' to enjoy (without paying the property taxes every year)! Love the ducklings, it must be spring!
They're different varieties of dogwoods, that's all. You can choose the color you like, although you'd never find a pink one growing naturally in the woods... those are only available for planting through nurseries, they're 'created'. We have pinks and whites in our yard and they were so pretty in full bloom UNTIL Easter when we were assaulted by three consecutive nights of obscenely frigid temps (low 20's) which turned our blooms into something akin to cornflakes :( I enjoyed seeing yours in all their glory!
I think you can call it yours - did you read Yertle the Turtle? He was king of all he could see *s* Looks beautiful.
We had dogwoods at our old house. I may need to some to plant here. Thanks for the lovely pictures.
How lovely. Dogwoods are so striking. We don't have them around here. There are dogwood trees in Yosemite, and they are so strikingly beautiful they take your breath away.
Doesn't matter if it's "yours" or not. You still get the use of that beautiful view!
I love the dogwoods also. Haven't seen any pink ones around here. How exciting that you are going to the Houston show! You sure make it to lots of quilt shows. Have fun!
I loved those pics. I dont think I have ever seen a Dogwood tree... well not to my knowledge. But I love those big bold looking flowers.
And ejnoy your Quilt show.
Beautiful blooms!
Did you get to see the cherry trees this year?
