Dear Anonymous, rude comments left anonymously, that is rude. The comment lady - she is funny! Thank you. No more anonymous comments on this blog... Oh I guessed you missed the self depreciating humor regarding my lack of typing skills and slow uploading...

I think you're absolutely right to react against anonymous comment. I always appreciate very much your posts : they're interesting, funny, and original. Personnally, I don't always leave some comment to every blog I visit (time !), but I do read them daily (yours included). Most of our blog friends are nice persons, most comments are full of sympathy, kindness, friendship, and encouraging.... unfortunately, there will always be some bitter (and silly) critics, from some courageous, constructive "anonymous"...
(one day, I got an anonymous msg - not in my actual blog -, asking how did I dare (!) to write in a language (aka English), that is not my mother language. I answered I wouldn't mind her to comment in French ! LOL
(No answer up to now...)

Let it go, Amy ! Besides : I just LOVE your funny, old lady, she makes me smile each time I see her, and I'm sure that this was your purpose !

Hugs & smiles !

People certainly should be brave enough to sign their names if they are brave enough to be rude.

Well, clearly, Amy, "Anonymous" is a humorless moron. Blow it off, and keep on posting, I say!

I do as many others have said, e-mail first, then bloglines. If I have time and something to say, I comment, if not, I cruise on through.

I always enjoy your posts and read them every day. If I don't comment, it doesn't mean I'm not interested...just that I'm in a hurry or everyone else has already said it all!

I agree about the funny little word verification letters...I often need to type them in twice, and I often try to "pronounce" them.

Hi Amy, nothing anonymous from here! How rude of that person.I'm with everyone else- just be yourself. They dont have to read, do they?
I find I often have to type the WV in twice- it is blogger not us. And I also usually try to pronounce them!
This one is mq bub!

I am sorry anonymous got you so mad.

The Calico Cat is your blog do with it what you want, say what you want.

I enjoy your blog, posting and your friendship. I may not comment but I am reading every posting you write.

I have to say I hate word verification because I am a bad typer and speller. I too try to pronounce the letters. I am waiting for one to display "yousuckattypingdeb".

Try number 3 to type the correct letter.............HAHAHAHA!

Love you!

I gotta add -- sometimes I have to type those darn letter 3 and 4 times to get them right to comment. But - I guess I am just too stubborn to let those silly letters get the best of me :))

P.S. I like your little - "Would it kill ya to comment"

The comment lady is funny. I'm glad you're keeping her around.

I'm just glad you didn't delete her comment before I could go back and read it - I always want to know what the controversy is all about. Now if she wants to respond again she'll have to sign her name. I'll be checking back to see if she does!

I admit it I'm a little sick - I kind of like it on a message group when people start sniping at each other a little. It makes for interesting reading and in case anyone wants to send me a chastising email for admitting that address it to

I think the elderly comment lady is hysterical!

I hate the letters but I have them to. I wonder if we would really get lots of nasty stuff if we left them off.

Everytime I use word verification, I have to do it again. Can't ever seem to get it right the first time.

As for your anonymous commentor,
pppppppwwwwwwwwwwww. That's me blowing rasberries at them.

Tee hee. I like what Mary said. So honest! Just last night I was talking to my husband about the arguing and controversy that happens at the blogs and messageboards he reads. I said it doesn't happen too much in the craft blog world but I's a little thrilling when it does!

Amy, folks that comment like that are real brave behind a computer screen. I know. I had one who would take every opportunity to swipe at me on a message board, but in person she never would say anything. Thankfully, since I change my blog to no anonymous posts, she's SO out of my life!

I read the blog ring every day, but in spare moments at the office I can't always comment. And I hardly ever read the preceding comments when I post one. That old time thing again. But, heck, sometimes I leave two comments! LOL

You keep your blog exactly the way you want it. You say whatever you want to say and however you want to say it. Poopshot on Anonymous! I really feel sad for that person. She/he must be very unhappy.

(Hugs) for you! Oh, and cute kitty picture in your bag! That made me smile big time!

Oh, I am so glad I'm not the only one who can't read word verification, especially that different blog site that then has the audacity to put lines all over the letters as well!!
I must admit that I went back to look at the comment. OOh, aah!! Adds some variety to our everyday lives doesn't it!! Cheers, Tracey-now, is that 2 v's in the word identification box ..or a w??

I had an anonymous comment on Jan 1 of all days, on an archived recipe for caramel corn. She said "people just don't need that". I was like, uh, then don't make it. Hello, how lame to be so rude, pointlessly, on the first day of a new year and not even sign her name. I can't disable anonymous comments, because I have too many typepad readers.
