Charity Quilts

Bull's Eye Flowers quilt 1 Pieced by me. Lots of yellows & oranges & greens. The border is a print of oranges...

Bull's Eye Flowers quilt 2 Second of 2 quilts, they are twins... The leaf arrangement is how you can see their differences.

quilt block & background both to be donated to NIH Children's Inn. You can see the backing & binding on this shot. The twins have the same backing & binding. You might even be able to see that the leaves were quilted in green & the flowers were quilted in orange. Not just an all over even though these are charity quilts. :o)

close up 2 The background quilting was meander on this one & loopy on the other. 4 different backgrounds are shown in thise shot.

close up 1 Quilted by Suzanne. 4 different backgrounds are in thise shot - each background was "botanical" to go with the overall floral theme.

What sunny quilts! Remind me of nasturtiums. Very pretty!
P.S. Did you applique the flowers by turning the edges under or is the fabric just sewn on like in a bull's eye quilt? I only ask because I just have to add this onto my 'quilts I will make someday' list.

Love this version of the bull' eye - the orange is so fresh and warm - is it a pattern or did you just change up the circle bull's eye idea?

A beautiful quilt. How have you made it. Have you appliqued the rose first and then cut it in four parts before sewing it together again??

You are very generous to give that away as a charity quilt. Our quilt group did that as a project to stretch our traditional gals towards the contemporary light. It's the Bloomin Rose that's on my list of Quilts in the Queue. I've got most of the blocks.

Come on...let's see that studio...

mine will be clean before you do...smile...yeah right! clean-ha!

These are both gorgeous. I need to make an orange quilt someday.

Somehow I missed the fact that you were making 2 of these during Spectrum Orange days... they both came out great!!! Whoever gets them is sure to appreciate!

Cheers!
