service project....

Any one out there a scout leader or some other philanthropic group....

Here is an easy way to even get the smallest kids involved.

Thoughtful Treasures That should be a direct link - the main URL can be accessed by clicking here NIH Children's Inn.

One other though for the day - in light of my list of "quilts to make" etc.

"If you want to give G-d a good laugh, tell Him your plans."

Have you started any Hannukah celebrations yet? I have loved hearing about the different Jewish traditions that you have shared with us over the months. I am a Christian, but I find other religions very interesting as well.

I wasn't aware that NIH had a house but for the 4+ years I've lived here in the Atlanta area I've made quilts for the Ronald McDonald House - 32 in total. The local Project Linus provides blankets for the Children's Hospital and I've donated quilts and afghans to them also.

There's something about making quilts for sick children that is very rewarding which is why I make and donate quilts rather than sell them. I'm fortunate that I don't have to work right now and this is my way to still be a useful productive human being.

I am a girl scout leader so thanks for the link. I am going to talk to my girls about this after the holidays. We are going to start making swaps then for our Thinking Day activity and hopefully will be able to do this as well.
